Inspiration: How the story started you wonder?
I was teaching in a small kindergarten when three of the students came up to me saying one of the girls was crying and they didn't know why. In a combination of English, Thai, gestures and tears, we found out she had lost her shoes. Off we went looking to find her one pair of expensive school shoes. She was afraid to go home without them. The girls and boy had a friend in need and did something to help, which became my inspiration for this story.
